The Wood. Naturally Better.™ program is an industry initiative designed to increase the use of wood and wooden products by creating a recognisable brand logo that will become associated with the advantages of wood, at both a trade and consumer level.
The Wood. Naturally Better.™ programme is being run by Forest & Wood Products Australia on behalf of levy payers within the industry. Gunns Limited is a major levy payer and therefore a major contributor to the funding of this industry campaign.
The multi-million dollar Wood. Naturally Better.™ program will incorporate a wide range of activities, from mainstream and internet media advertising and events, to promotions targeted at purchase decision makers in building design and construction.
It is a first for the Australian market and is the largest joint-activity ever undertaken by the forest and wood products industry.
We at Gunns Timber Products have signed up to be a Partner in the program and are currently exploring how best to develop our co-branding strategy so that we can play a big role in the industry promotional campaign to support Wood. Naturally Better. This campaign is designed to spread industry knowledge regarding the environmental benefits of replacing other “man made” materials with Timber.
The Gunns Timber Products Canning Vale purpose built warehouse, spanning 7500m2 in its timber frame construction is the largest built in WA to date.
We have stored 350 tonnes of carbon in the timber framework of this building for its lifespan that otherwise would have been released into the atmosphere as CO2.
