AUSPINEblue is plantation pine framing that has been protected against termites and EHB with a water-based solution containing long acting synthetic pyrethroid insecticides. It is dyed blue for easy identification.

AUSPINEblue is registered with the Australian Pesticides & Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and approved for use in Australian Standard 1604.1 in any areas of Australia south of the Tropic of Capricorn.

The price difference between protected and unprotected plantation pine framing is small. Typically, the cost of treatment is less than one percent of the value of the average house: a small price to pay for 25 years of peace of mind.

Guaranteed Protection against Termites and EHB
AUSPINEblue is provided with a user friendly 25 year limited guarantee by the supplier of the preservative treatment. It may be treated with one of two preservative treatments. To identify the treatment applied, each piece of timber is marked with a brand.

Timber branded with the code 853 74 H2F is Tanalised treated and guaranteed by Lonza.
Timber branded with the code 530 75 H2F is Determite treated and guaranteed by Osmose.

The limited guarantee is fully transferrable from the first home owner to another for the life of the 25 year guarantee period a valuable structural asset for any future sale of your property. Simply retain proof of purchase and note the building's construction date. Should you wish to make a claim simply contact the preservative treatment supplier.

No Need to Re-Seal Cut Ends
The repellency effects of AUSPINEblue mean cut-ends, holes drilled for installation of services and trenching of either the top or bottom plates for fixing of studs do not need to be resealed however it is recommended as good building practice.

Easy Waste Disposal
Any waste which occurs as the result of using H2-F termite protected plantation pine timber framing is regarded as non-hazardous as the synthetic pyrethroids are biodegradable and do not bio-accumulate.

No Adhesion Issues with Glues
AUSPINEblue is treated with a water-based preservative so there is no interference with the adhesion of glues or mastics and no slippery surfaces. It feels and works just like untreated timber.
