Colouring Victorian Ash is Pale pink to pale straw
Other Botanical Name Mountain Ash (Eucalyptus regnans), Alpine Ash (Eucalyptus delegatensis)
Workability It works extremely well and produces an excellent finish. It can be used in all
forms of construction, furniture; home fit out, particularly flooring. It
has very good staining qualities to match with other timbers.
Hardness / Janka 4.9kn Seasoned
Durability Class 3 & 4 (AS 1604). When used for exterior applications it should be
painted or given a protective coating.
Strength Group Seasoned SD3 and SD4, unseasoned S3 and S4
Movement Measurable movement service - Low radial: 0.22% of board dimension per 1% moisture content change.
Tangential: 0.35% of board dimension per 1% moisture content change. |
